The Team

Who We Are

Alvin Kenon -LCSW/EMBA

CEO/Member

I am an Army veteran and a retired Corrections Sergeant with over 17 years of service in the Las Vegas community and more than ten years of experience providing therapy and mental health support. My background in public safety allows me to work effectively with adults, teens, and young adults facing anxiety, depression, trauma, anger, grief and loss, self-harm behaviors, and major life transitions.

I have a strong interest in helping teens and young adults navigate life challenges, build emotional awareness, and develop confidence, resilience, and leadership skills during critical stages of growth. I also support first responders, law enforcement professionals, men, and individuals experiencing chronic stress or trauma.

My approach is client-centered, strengths-based, and trauma-informed. I integrate a faith-based counseling perspective when appropriate, while always meeting clients where they are and respecting their values and beliefs. I believe clients are the experts of their own lives, and I work collaboratively to help them develop insight, emotional regulation, and practical tools for meaningful change.

My goal is to provide a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space where clients—especially teens and young adults—can heal, grow, and step into healthier, more confident lives.

Marcy Melendrez - LCSW

Co-founder/ Therapist

I am a licensed psychotherapist and a graduate of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) School of Social Work, with over eight years of experience providing psychotherapy. As a first-generation Hispanic woman to earn a college degree, I value resilience, cultural identity, and the importance of compassionate, client-centered care.

My approach to therapy is warm, gentle, and collaborative. I believe meaningful change begins by meeting clients where they are in their life journey and honoring their unique experiences, values, and strengths. I strive to create a safe, supportive environment where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered.

I utilize an eclectic therapeutic style with a strong foundation in cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), helping clients identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns that may contribute to emotional distress or behavioral concerns. When appropriate and desired by the client, I incorporate Christian faith-based principles rooted in my belief in Jesus Christ, recognizing spirituality as a potential source of healing, hope, and personal growth.

I have experience working with children and women, providing guidance and support as they navigate life transitions, emotional challenges, and presenting concerns. My goal is to support clients in gaining insight, building resilience, and moving toward greater clarity, balance, and well-being.
